Hopdle saves your progress, statistics and streak only in your own browser (local storage). That information never leaves your device.
The game counts visits anonymously so its owner can see how many people play. When you open the game, start a day or finish a day, it sends a few numbers: the day number, whether you finished and how many moves you used, how many earlier days this browser has finished, and the creator link you came from (if the address ended in ?c=name).
It does not use cookies, does not store your IP address, does not send the words you type and does not create an account or profile. To count one visitor once per day, the server mixes your IP address and browser type with a random value that changes every day and is then deleted; only the result of that mix is kept, so nobody can be followed from one day to the next. If your browser sends "Do Not Track", nothing is sent.
